Sunovion Receives 2018 Corporate Responsibility and Leadership Awards from United Way of Tri-County and Expands Partnership For 8th Annual Community Service Program

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.--()--Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Sunovion) today announced that the Company has received the 2018 Corporate Responsibility Award and 2018 Corporate Leadership Award from United Way of Tri-County for its positive impact in community service while fostering a culture of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). On August 15, Sunovion will expand its partnership with United Way of Tri-County as the Company kicks off the eighth year of its Hands On! community service program. On this day, hundreds of Sunovion employees will work in collaboration with United Way of Tri-County in Massachusetts and the Bergen County’s United Way in New Jersey to support a variety of community projects where they work and live.

This is the second year that Sunovion has received both the Corporate Responsibility Award and Corporate Leadership Award from United Way of Tri-County for its outstanding local and regional community support efforts. Through the Hands On! program, and partnerships including with the United Way of Tri-County, Sunovion has contributed to projects focused on science and educational initiatives for youth, community relief efforts and health and medical needs. Sunovion’s Hands On! program throughout the U.S., Canada and in the United Kingdom is focused on giving back in communities where Sunovion has employees and office locations. During 2019, the Company expects to reach more than 30,000 cumulative employee volunteer hours since the inception of the Hands On! program in 2012.
