Inviting customers everywhere to get in on the plant-based party, Carl’s Jr. is offering fans the opportunity to try it for themselves, for free. On Thursday, August 15, 2019 customers who say “Beyond Upgrade” with the purchase of any large drink will receive a free Beyond Famous Star at participating restaurants while supplies last.
First launched in December 2018, Carl’s Jr. and Beyond Meat partnered to be among the first to bring the world this major innovation in quick service – a protein-packed, charbroiled version of Carl’s Jr.’s legendary Famous Star burger featuring plant-based protein. To date, more than 4.4 million Beyond Famous Stars have been sold at Carl’s Jr. restaurants, making it the brand’s most successful burger launch over the past two years.

To keep the celebration going, customers can also join the Carl’s Jr. food truck for free Beyond Famous Stars on Thursday, August 15th between the hours of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT at 530 N. Victory Blvd., Burbank, CA 91502. Limit one per customer. No purchase required.
The Beyond Famous Star features the Beyond Burger™ patty, cooked top-to-bottom on an open flame, topped with melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, sliced onions, dill pickles, special sauce and mayonnaise on a seeded bun. The Beyond Burger patty contains no GMOs, soy or gluten and has lower saturated fat than regular beef, but still delivers tons of flame-broiled flavor and 20g of protein.
In order to participate in the promotion, fans can simply visit any participating Carl’s Jr. location on August 15, 2019 to receive a free Beyond Famous Star with the purchase of a large drink, while supplies last. Limit one per customer.
