IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Layton Construction, one of the largest general contractors in the U.S., today announced Thomas Smith has joined the company as director of business development for the Southern California markets. Most recently, Smith served as a director of business development at C.W. Driver Companies.
A twenty-year construction veteran, Smith joins Layton to accelerate the company’s growth within the commercial, hospitality, entertainment, retail and life science markets across Southern California, including the Los Angeles/Irvine/San Diego area. He will also drive innovative programs through our business development network and further develop the pre-construction team.

Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in business science from the University of Southern Mississippi and has previously worked for Turner Construction, ISEC, The Raymond Group and FRCH Nelson Design.
