Cannabis Science and Technology and Spectroscopy® Present Webcast on Reliable Cannabis Plant Analysis Through Effective Sample Preparation

This live webcast will offer participants an enhanced understanding of sample preparation techniques and best practices for cannabis and hemp products.

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--Cannabis Science and Technology, a digital resource that focuses on educating the legal cannabis industry about the science and technology of analytical testing and quality control, and Spectroscopy ®, a multimedia platform that promotes the use of spectroscopic instrumentation in applied research, environmental testing, quality control, and the life sciences, will co-host a live webcast, “Potency, Pesticides, and Metals, Oh My! Achieving Superior Cannabis Analyses with Simple Sample Prep Tools,” on Wednesday, July 24 at 11 a.m. EDT.

“The complex nature of the cannabis plant can make it difficult to achieve complete and reliable analysis,” said Tom Ehardt, president of MultiMedia Healthcare, LLC. “This live webcast will provide attendees the opportunity to better understand the best practices for sample preparation with cannabis, while posing questions to the expert panel.”

Presenters for this webcast are as follows:

  • Alicia Douglas Stell, Ph.D., lead R&D scientist of the molecular sample preparation division at CEM Corporation;
  • Bob Lockerman, global product manager of the analytical division at CEM Corporation;
  • Laura Bush, editorial director of Spectroscopy® will be moderating.

The webcast will provide a foundation for deriving better analytical results through improvement of sample preparation. Attendees will learn sample preparation techniques for cannabis and hemp products, understand the importance of temperature-controlled potency and pesticide extraction, and enhance their understanding of best practices for single batch microwave digestion of all cannabis and hemp samples.
