BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flare Capital Partners, a leading healthcare technology venture capital firm, today announced the promotion of Vic Lanio to principal.
“Vic has been a tremendous asset to our investment team and has shown a depth of understanding of the healthcare landscape that is impressive,” said Michael Greeley, cofounder and partner, Flare Capital.
“Given the profound investment opportunities as the transformation of our healthcare industry unfolds, Vic will continue to be critical to the success of our Flare Capital portfolio companies and in helping drive new investment opportunities,” added Bill Geary, cofounder and partner.
Vic joined Flare Capital in July 2017 as a Senior Associate, having also been a member of the Flare Scholar Class of 2016. Just prior to joining Flare Capital, Vic was a Product Strategy Manager at naviHealth, responsible for enterprise product strategy during the integration of the legacy naviHealth, Curaspan and RightCare businesses. Vic joined naviHealth by way of Curaspan, where he worked on their successful strategic sale of the company.
David Medvedeff, CEO of Aspen RxHealth, a Flare Capital recent investment, commented “I am very excited about this well-deserved promotion, having worked closely with Vic for the last 18 months and given his important role in Flare Capital’s co-creation of Aspen RxHealth. His depth of understanding of healthcare technology solutions is impressive and been very helpful as we scale the company. He has a terrific network of industry thought leaders which has been a real resource for us.”
