HANOVER, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Rice Family Foundation was established by Michael and Jane Rice of Utz Quality Foods, LLC, to provide leadership and support for the education, health, and well-being of families located in the greater Hanover, Pennsylvania area.
Using grant funds, the Rice Family Foundation supports eligible, local area non-profit organizations who dedicate their time, efforts, and resources to foster a better community. This is made possible based on commitments from the Rice family.
During 2018, thirty-one non-profit organizations received support from the Foundation. These recipients cover varying missions, from Olivia’s House, a grief and loss center for children, to Guiding Hearts with Hope, a community recovery organization, to Big Brothers Big Sisters of York and Adams county, helping children to succeed and thrive in life.
“Now in our third year, we are excited about the progress and support the Rice Family Foundation has been able to make in the community through a range of talented, local non-profit organizations,” said Stacie Lissette, Director, the Rice Family Foundation. “As we look towards awarding the next round of recipients, we are determined to see how the Foundation can further help and support those local area non-profits who do so much for our community.”
