Consumers purchase tests at www.DefyYourDNA.net and receive a kit that allows them to self-collect a DNA sample using painless buccal swabs. Customers use a prepaid mailer to send the completed kit to Kashi, where the samples are processed and tested in Kashi’s CLIA-licensed, CAP-certified laboratory. Results are returned to customers via a secure web portal.
Notably, Kashi does not sell or share customers’ genetic results with third parties, unlike several other companies that offer risk assessment testing.
