ARLINGTON, Va.--()--BAE Systems has been named an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Consulting Partner. This designation is only awarded to AWS partners that demonstrate AWS Competency and deep experience working with government and commercial customers to build, migrate, and manage mission-critical workloads and applications on AWS.

“We have a proven track record of deploying, operating, and optimizing customer cloud environments, to help their government customers get the most out of AWS services,” said Don DeSanto, director of strategic partners for BAE Systems’ Intelligence & Security sector. “We are excited to be recognized as an AWS Premier Consulting Partner. This is a very exclusive group of organizations that have demonstrated a proven ability to innovate and accelerate the government’s adoption and migration to the cloud.”

The company is integrating AWS capabilities for complex solutions acquired under several of its contract vehicles, such as One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS), Information Analysis Centers Multiple Award Contract (IAC-MAC), and General Services Administration’s Alliant (GSA Alliant).

“Based on our expertise in migrating our customers’ infrastructure, data, and mission applications to the cloud, we became an AWS Premier Partner,” said Manish Parikh, chief technology officer of the BAE Systems Intelligence & Security sector. “Achieving AWS Premier Consulting Partner status reflects the company’s expanded government and commercial cloud service strategy.”

In addition to being named as an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, BAE Systems has been recognized as an AWS DevOps and Government Competency holder. DevOps professionals work closely with their customers to understand their missions and use the AWS cloud to quickly deliver applications and infrastructure, optimize cost and performance, and protect organizational assets. The company is also working with AWS to assess how it can provide security tools, scalable software, and cloud solutions to all U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and other federal/civilian government organizations that have access to the AWS Marketplace.
