OncLive® Presents State of the Science Summit™ on Breast Cancer

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--OncLive®, the nation’s leading digital resource focused on providing oncology professionals with the most current and insightful information they need to give the best patient care, will host its latest State of the Science Summit™ on breast cancer Tuesday, May 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Westin Milwaukee in Wisconsin. The summit will be chaired by Dr. Ruth O’Regan, a professor of hematology/oncology and an associate director of clinical research at University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center.

This interactive and educational meeting will discuss novel treatments for patients with breast cancer. Expert presenters will delve into informative topics facing breast cancer specialists, oncologists, nurses and other medical professionals, such as management of hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative early-stage disease, updates in metastatic hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative disease, monitoring response with blood markers in metastatic breast cancer and novel approaches for metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. The presenters will also engage in a peer exchange and address audience questions.

Presenters for the summit include the following experts:

  • Dr. Mark Burkard, associate professor of hematology/oncology and leader of the breast disease-oriented working group, University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center
  • Dr. Christopher Chitambar, professor and director of the hematology/oncology fellowship program, Medical College of Wisconsin
  • Dr. Yee Chung Cheng, associate professor of medical oncology, Medical College of Wisconsin
  • Dr. Kari B. Wisinski, medical oncologist, University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center

State of the Science Summit™ is a premier conference series, hosted by OncLive®, that features medical experts from across the nation discussing treatment options.
