Denver Post Names Bright Horizons a 2019 Top Workplace

BROOMFIELD, Colo.--()--Bright Horizons (NYSE: BFAM) has been named one of the 2019 Top Workplaces by The Denver Post. Bright Horizons has more than 800 employees in the state of Colorado at 15 early childhood care and education centers and a customer contact center, which supports the company's child care centers and preschools along with its emergency back-up care, EdAssist, and College Coach services.

“Bright Horizons was built on the foundation of making a lasting difference in the world around us. Employees who care about each other and believe in our company’s philosophy of caring for people at every level have nurtured a company culture that is inclusive, respectful and full of joy,” said Bright Horizons CEO Stephen Kramer. “I am proud that our employees work every day with passion and purpose as they support families, companies, and clients that make up the greater Bright Horizons family. I am filled with gratitude for our employees who have yet again allowed us this great honor of being recognized as a Top Workplace.”

Committed to giving back, the Colorado employees are known for volunteering in the community where they both live and work. Most recently, in March, more than 100 people from the contact center team in Broomfield, Colorado, came together in memory of their colleague Lea Hamel, who tragically passed away last year in an apartment fire. To honor her legacy, the Colorado employees organized a two-mile walk, raising over $10,500 to create a Bright Space at Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy, an equestrian center where Lea volunteered helping children with disabilities. Bright Spaces provide a warm, safe, enriching space for children and youth to build caring relationships, and experience the joy of childhood. This specific Bright Space, which will be named, “Lea’s Safe Haven,” will allow for improvements to be made, such as new paint for the equestrian center, maintenance around the facility, and new therapy tools for the riders. This is one of many examples of the volunteering efforts of Bright Horizons employees in Colorado.
