Physicians’ Education Resource® Hosts the 3rd Annual International Congress on Oncology Pathology™ in New York City

The annual CME-Certified congress continues to discuss best practices in collaborative care for oncologists and pathologists in order to personalize oncology treatment

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), a worldwide leader in continuing medical education (CME), presents the 3rd Annual International Congress on Oncology & Pathology: Towards Harmonization of Pathology and Oncology Standards on Saturday, June 22, at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan in New York City. The program will be co-chaired by Alain C. Borczuk, M.D., professor of pathology and laboratory medicine and vice chairman and director of anatomic pathology, department of pathology and laboratory medicine, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Balazs Halmos, M.D., professor of clinical medicine; director, thoracic/head and neck oncology; and director, clinical cancer genomics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.

The 3rd Annual International Congress on Oncology & Pathology™ is a one-day conference for pathologists and oncologists who are interested in the management of patients with cancer. Leading experts will provide the latest information on key topics in pathology that can readily be applied to clinical practice in a variety of settings and will address critical topics in pathology screening for malignancies commonly encountered in clinical practice. From a foundation of tumor-specific discussions, clinical experts will appraise clinical guidelines, explore new concepts and clinical research, and address obstacles to optimizing practice. This year’s dynamic program will also feature a variety of formats, including cutting-edge lectures, panel discussions, multidisciplinary tumor boards and interactive question-and-answer sessions, allowing participants to engage with faculty as they share their perspectives and personal experiences on clinical challenges and ongoing controversies in pathology.
