Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-joon donated 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea, a charity institution, in a relief aid for the victims of a recent large forest fire in Sockcho, Gangwon Province. SEOUL, South Korea--()--Hyosung (KRX:004800) donated 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea, a charity institution, in a relief aid for the victims of a recent large wildfire in Sockcho, Gangwon Province.

The money was raised by Hyosung Corp. which is the holding company of the Hyosung Group, and four affiliates -- Hyosung TNC, Hyosung Heavy Industries, Hyosung Advanced Materials and Hyosung Chemical. It will be spent on restoring the damaged regions and giving relief supplies and living expenses to the victims.

“My hearts go out to residents in the areas stricken by the large fire,” Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-joon said, “I hope that the region will be recovered and everyday life will get back to normal as soon as possible.”
