Sysdig Wins Three 2019 Cyber Defense Magazine InfoSec Awards at RSA

The Sysdig Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform is transforming the way enterprises secure their containers

SAN FRANCISCO--()--RSA CONFERENCE -- Sysdig, Inc., the cloud-native intelligence company, announced today at RSA Conference that the company was named the winner in three 2019 Cyber Defense Magazine InfoSec Award categories. The Sysdig Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform was recognized with the Publisher's Choice Vulnerability Management and the Breakout Compliance InfoSec Awards for 2019. Falco, the open source container security project created by Sysdig, took home the Hot Company Open Source Security InfoSec Award. The Cyber Defense Magazine InfoSec Awards honor organizations that offer state-of-the-art security products and services and these three awards reinforce Sysdig’s leadership in the market. Sysdig has experienced rapid growth over the last year which includes more than tripling the number of Fortune 500 customer deployments and nearly doubling its global employee count to keep up with demand for its combined visibility and security solution.

“Operating in the cloud adds new layers of complexity that require the right tools to navigate. We expect enterprise adoption to continue to scale this year as leaders realize the massive challenges in achieving the visibility and security required for their cloud-native applications. Winning these three awards further reinforces that the market is craving a new approach to securing and monitoring the cloud,” said Apurva Davé, chief marketing officer at Sysdig.

Sysdig is the only platform to take a unified approach to container security and visibility. By offering a unified approach, Sysdig is able to deliver more data for higher visibility and a more complete view of the environment, while putting less strain on the infrastructure. Unlike traditional approaches, the Sysdig Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform was built on an open core and with an understanding of the modern DevSecOps workflow across Kubernetes, Docker, and both private and public clouds.

“Sysdig has won three InfoSec Awards from our magazine because they are an innovator that might actually help you stay one step ahead of the next threat and defeat the next generation of exploiters,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, chief executive officer of Cyber Defense Media Group, which is in its seventh year of publishing Cyber Defense Magazine and running these independent and prestigious awards.

At the core of the Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform, Sysdig has several open source projects, one of which is Falco. Falco was accepted by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation® (CNCF®) as a Cloud Native Sandbox project last October. The project is designed to give DevSecOps visibility into the behavior of containers and applications and this Cyber Defense Magazine InfoSec Award further reinforces the work the community has done to provide a valuable runtime security tool.

Sysdig will be demoing the Sysdig Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform at Kiosk #37 in the RSAC Early Stage Expo, located in the Marriott Marquis. Stop by to learn more and to see a demo of the Sysdig platform.
