Milk Stork Announces International Expansion with All-New Pump & Check Option

Honoring Road Warrior Moms on International Women’s Day, Milk Stork Enables Women to Check Breast Milk onto International Flights

PALO ALTO, Calif.--()--Milk Stork, the first-ever breast milk shipping company, today announced the International Pump & Check, a unique offering that allows users to check breast milk as luggage when traveling internationally. Now available worldwide, Milk Stork continues to cement its status as the champion of moms who do not want to choose between nourishing their babies and their careers.

The Milk Stork International Pump & Check provides everything a mom would need to pack and check her breast milk as luggage. The cooler holds 108 oz. of breast milk, the equivalent of a three-to-five days’ worth of breast milk for most moms, and provides a minimum of 90 hours of refrigeration from the time of activation. The exterior dimensions are 12” x 8” x 10”, and, when full, the cooler weighs 16 lbs. The International Pump & Check also includes 25 breast milk storage bags, a durable travel bag and a luggage tag.

“When I first started this company in 2015, I always planned to have an international offering,” said Kate Torgersen, founder and CEO, Milk Stork. “I am thrilled that the day has come when international travel is no longer off limits to pumping moms.”

Milk Stork was founded after Kate struggled to maintain her commitment to breastfeeding her twins during a business trip while working for Clif Bar & Company. Upon her return, she turned to her father, Mike Torgersen, for help and together they created a simple, seamless solution to this complex problem. Since then Kate has made it her mission to normalize pumping and motherhood in the workplace by encouraging companies to offer Milk Stork as an essential employee benefit. Today, over 400 companies offer Milk Stork as an employee benefit, including Ocean Spray, Home Depot, Pinterest, Zillow Group, and many more.
