FUKUSHIMA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Announcing Opening of a Test Market Shop, Specializing in Fukushima Sake in a Key Global Metropolis
New York City is a major export destination for sake produced in Fukushima Prefecture. FUKUSHIMA’S SAKE Challenge Shop, a Fukushima sake test market shop, opened there on December 1, 2018.
Fukushima sake is highly rated as both the best sake in Japan and has a formidable reputation outside the country as well. The powerful desire behind the opening of this shop is to offer the people of New York City an opportunity to taste and understand the deliciousness of Fukushima sake.
The selected location is Canal Street in lower Manhattan, where a wide range of fashionable shops can be found.
We’re looking forward to having not only New Yorkers, but many travelers from around the world who visit the city, recognize the wonders of Fukushima Sake.
Offering 50 Labels from 11 Sake Breweries
The test market shop sells Fukushima sake using an order-based system.
The available collection of sake includes fifty different labels from eleven different brewers, all of which are rated highly both within Japan and abroad, including Adatara Ginjo from Okunomatsu Sake Brewery, awarded the IWC 2018 Champion Sake, and Ninki-ichi Dai Ginjo, from Ninki Shuzo Brewery, which took the gold medal in the Annual Japan Sake Awards. We look forward to new customers from all over the world.
