IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ingram Micro Commerce & Lifecycle Services today announced the opening of a new U.S. ITAD Service Hub as part of the company’s ongoing initiative to bring services closer to its clients.
Already the largest IT Asset Disposition services provider in North America, Ingram Micro’s new Richmond, VA facility brings the company’s network of North American processing, logistics, and service center locations to 17. Additional locations are slated to open as the year progresses.
IT Asset Disposition plays a critical role in data security. As a fully certified ITAD provider, Ingram Micro ensures that all data-bearing devices are thoroughly sanitized – or destroyed – when they’re retired from service.
The Richmond facility, like the five new U.S. facilities opened in 2018, was selected to tighten chain of custody, reduce costs, and speed implementation. This service hub is home base for an ITAD-dedicated Ingram Micro truck as well as technicians and mobile degaussing and shredding equipment to bring point-of-need onsite data sanitization and hard drive destruction services to clients in the greater Richmond area.
