Newegg Expands Hold for Pick-Up Service with FedEx

U.S. Customers Can Now Ship Purchases to More than 12,000 FedEx Locations

Newegg’s collaboration with FedEx supports the company’s mission to upgrade the shopping experience with key improvements that make it easier and more enjoyable to shop online.

It’s a fundamental part of retailing in the U.S., and consumers want convenient and secure options for package pickup in addition to the home,” said Randy Scarborough, vice president retail marketing, FedEx Services. “FedEx continues to expand its network of retail hold locations that consumers already visit as part of their normal routine, such as grocery stores and pharmacies, and we are pleased to give Newegg’s customers the flexibility to choose when and where they’d like to retrieve their purchases.”

With the holiday season quickly approaching, the volume of online shopping is on the rise and many customers seek the added convenience and security of shipping orders to alternative pick-up locations. To meet this need, Newegg customers now have access to a growing network of more than 12,000 FedEx locations in the United States, including FedEx Office retail stores, Walgreens and select Kroger and Albertsons locations across the country – many of which will offer extended operating hours in December to accommodate shoppers’ busy schedules in the weeks leading up to the holidays.

To take advantage of the Hold at FedEx Location service, customers simply indicate that they want their order shipped to a FedEx location during checkout. Customers then select an available pick-up location convenient to their home or workplace and are notified as soon as their order is ready for pick-up.
