Comcast Spectacor Names Valerie Camillo President of Business Operations for the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center

Former Washington Nationals and NBA Executive to Oversee All Key Revenue Functions, Marketing Initiatives, Analytics, Technology and Business Optimization

PHILADELPHIA--()--Comcast Spectacor, owner of a portfolio of professional sports teams and live entertainment assets, has appointed Valerie Camillo President of Business Operations for the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center. Camillo will oversee all key business functions, including sales, marketing, analytics, technology and overall business optimization for the storied NHL franchise and one of the country’s busiest arenas. The announcement was made today by Dave Scott, Chairman and CEO of Comcast Spectacor and Governor of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Overseeing all key business functions for the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center, Camillo will report directly to Comcast Spectacor Chairman and CEO Dave Scott. Among those reporting to Camillo in her new role are the Flyers’ EVP and COO Shawn Tilger and the Wells Fargo Center’s SVP and General Manager Mike Scanlon. Camillo will relocate to the Philadelphia area and start her new role early next year.

Camillo joins Comcast Spectacor from the Washington Nationals, where she was Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer, leading the development and implementation of the club’s initiatives to maximize commercial opportunities and long-term growth. Previously she was Senior Vice President, Team Marketing and Business Operations for the NBA. In this role, she provided strategic counsel to multiple NBA clubs that covered best practices in revenue generation, marketing, analytics, technology and property development. Prior to joining the NBA, Camillo led a strategy consulting practice for Booz Allen Hamilton and acquired additional experience as a consultant for IBM and Price Waterhouse Coopers. She earned her B.S. and M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.
