Rite Aid Announces Ratification of Three Year Agreement with UFCW in Southern California

CAMP HILL, Pa.--()--Rite Aid is pleased to announce the ratification of a three-year agreement with the UFCW covering over 5,900 Rite Aid associates at 357 stores across Southern California. We appreciate the support of our associates in approving this agreement as well as the hard work of UFCW and company negotiators who found common ground during renewed negotiations over the past several weeks.

The agreement maintains the UFCW healthcare plan, which was the top priority of the union. This agreement also provides Rite Aid with new workplace operating efficiency measures that allow us to deliver wage increases for our associates in each year of the agreement, while also supporting the business needs of our Southern California stores.

Rite Aid is proud to be the only 100% unionized neighborhood drugstore in Southern California. We value our successful partnership with the UFCW in meeting the needs of associates and customers in what has become a very competitive marketplace. We look forward to continuing to work closely together in the months and years ahead.

Rite Aid has also been a committed and caring neighbor for communities in Southern California. Through the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Rite Aid has helped raise nearly $16 million over the past 20 years for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego and the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
