Books-A-Million Honors U.S. Military with Coffee for the Troops Holiday Campaign, September 30-October 27

Soldiers’ Angels to distribute donated coffee bags to U.S. troops overseas, veterans and VA hospitals

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--()--Books-A-Million, in partnership with Soldiers’ Angels, returns with its 12th Coffee for the Troops campaign beginning Sunday, September 30 - Saturday, October 27. The campaign allows customers to gift a special taste of home to U.S. soldiers and veterans who fearlessly serve the country every day. To honor the nation’s service men and women, customers can purchase a bag of freshly ground Joe Muggs Coffee at any Books-A-Million location or online at booksamillion.com/coffeetroops.

“Over the past six years, we’ve had the opportunity to recognize the brave men and women who serve our country through the continued support our customers have shown toward the Coffee for the Troops campaign,” said Scott Kappler, chief marketing officer for Books-A-Million. “Our partnership with Soldiers’ Angels allows us to provide soldiers and veterans with a token of appreciation for their service.”

Since 2012, Books-A-Million has partnered with Soldiers’ Angels to donate more than 575,000 bags of coffee to troops, veterans and VA hospitals. The company has exceeded its Coffee for the Troops goals each year, showing the positive impact that comes from strength in numbers. Earlier this year, Books-A-Million customers rallied together to donate over 80,000 bags of coffee for the Independence Day campaign, which surpassed its goal by 12,000 bags.

“Something as simple as coffee brings a true taste of home to the men and women serving in our Armed Forces overseas,” said Amy Palmer, President and CEO of Soldiers’ Angels. “We’re so grateful for Books-A-Million and the customers who continue to support our organization by providing special gifts to troops and veteran patients at VA Hospitals. Without the generous support we would not be able to offer this act of kindness to those who do so much for our country.”

For a special touch, customers can leave a personalized message on each donated bag to show their appreciation for U.S. soldiers.
