NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Templum, Inc. (“Templum”), a leading innovative technology company focused on the development of new market infrastructure for the digital asset sector, including systems for the initial offering and secondary trading of unregistered digital securities, today announced that industry veteran Annemarie Tierney has joined the firm as Head of Strategy and General Counsel. In this new role, Ms. Tierney will be responsible for continuing the development and execution of Templum’s strategic initiatives and advising on regulatory issues.

Ms. Tierney joins Templum from The Nasdaq Private Market (“NPM”), where she served as Vice President and Head of Strategy and New Markets. While at NPM, Ms. Tierney was responsible for the legal and regulatory assessment of strategic opportunities across a range of products and services, in depth strategic and legal analysis and thought leadership efforts. Prior to joining NPM, Ms. Tierney was EVP, Legal, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at SecondMarket Holdings, Inc. (now Digital Currency Group), where she was responsible for the firm’s legal and broker dealer compliance. Previously, she served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at NYFIX, Inc., and Assistant General Counsel at NYSE Euronext where she served as a member of the company’s IPO readiness and public company reporting team. Earlier in her career, Ms. Tierney was a Senior Associate in the corporate finance group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Senior Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. Tierney holds a JD from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America and a BS in Finance and a BA in International Relations from the University of Delaware.
