Prop. 10’s Statewide "Rent Is Too Damn High!" Bus Tour to Stop at Cal State San Bernardino, Redlands Market Place, Thurs., Sept 27

LOS ANGELES--()--On September 27, 2018, California State San Bernardino student volunteers will welcome the Yes on 10 Campaign to rally and launch voter engagement efforts and spread the word about Proposition 10, a ballot measure that will restore the right of local communities to set fair limits on rent increases and address California’s housing affordability crisis.

At 3:30 p.m., the Yes on 10 bus will pick up 30+ CSSB students at one of the student housing facilities. The bus will circle the campus before arriving at a nearby ACLU Rally at 5:30 p.m. The tour continues to the Downtown Redlands Market at 6 p.m.

CSSB student volunteers say large corporations have purchased nearby housing, making rent unaffordable for students. Yes on 10 would be part of a solution to their housing crisis by allowing local governments to implement reasonable limits on rent increases.

The Yes on 10 bus tour is a grassroots effort to further develop organic person-to-person relationships in communities across the state, hear community housing concerns and raise awareness for Proposition 10. Leaders and organizations from across California will come together to engage voters and rally support for Proposition 10 because everyone deserves a safe, healthy and affordable place to call home.

The bus tour will continue through the November 6 election stopping in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego County, San Francisco, Contra Costa County and Sacramento.
