MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Elvis Presley’s Graceland® has announced that due to overwhelming demand, the second annual Performing Arts Camp will be held over two weekends in July of 2019. Campers will learn acting, music and dance techniques alongside new friends from around the world. Two different date options are offered: the July 10-14 session is exclusively for kids ages 13-17, and the second, July 17-21, for kids ages 6-16 (with instruction segmented by age). This is a one-of-a-kind experience for the entire family as the kids and teens have the unique opportunity to perform live on stage at Graceland.
The camp is an immersive theater arts and music experience for both experienced and novice performers. The Graceland Performing Arts Camp participants will learn from Broadway and regional professionals as they explore their creativity in workshops on acting, singing and dancing at the Graceland Soundstage and on stage at The Guest House at Graceland™ Theater. Over the four days of activities, campers will develop a showcase, culminating in an evening performance on stage at The Guest House Theater for family and friends on Saturday night.
In addition, each camper will follow in the footsteps of Elvis Presley throughout their stay, as they explore the Graceland campus, tour Elvis’ legendary home, and learn how he became the greatest entertainer of all time – in the studio, on stage and on the big screen.
While campers are having fun during the day, parents and other family members will keep busy with Graceland tours and archives presentations, shuttle transportation to other Memphis attractions and relaxing poolside at The Guest House, before reuniting with their children in the evening for family dinners and activities.
