Immuta and Cloudera Partner to Accelerate Secure Data Access and Control of Enterprise Data Science Programs

New Immuta Certification for Cloudera Enables Global AI Adoption with Granular Data Access and Policy Enforcement

NEW YORK--()--Immuta today made public the details of its partnership with Cloudera, announcing that its data management platform for AI is now certified to run on Cloudera through the Cloudera Partner Program.

The Immuta platform enables algorithmic-driven organizations to quickly operationalize data for increased access, control, and visibility to drive their machine learning and advanced analytics programs. The Immuta platform makes data self-serviceable, while enforcing policy controls dynamically on HDFS, Hive, Impala, and Spark, as the data is queried. The results are rapidly-developed models that risk professionals and data scientists can trust.

According to Gartner, by 2020, most data and analytics use cases will require connecting to distributed data sources, causing enterprises to double their investments in data access, policy enforcement, and metadata management. Unfortunately, the traditional methods for operationalizing data requires complex data engineering, manual policy enforcement, and labor-intensive reporting, which slows down data science teams and hampers innovation.

“Increasing the visibility and control of data in data science programs represents one of the greatest opportunities for organizations making the shift to AI,” said Andrew Gilman, Chief Revenue Officer at Immuta. “We're excited to further our partnership with Cloudera as our enterprise clients need to quickly connect and control data within their Cloudera environments in a fully compliant manner to enable fast, legal, and ethical data science.”

Immuta joins the Cloudera Certified Technology program, which simplifies the deployment and integration of clients’ Big Data environments. Cloudera users who leverage Cloudera Certified Technologies, such as the Immuta platform, operate with a platform that has been tested and validated to use supported APIs and to comply with Cloudera development guidelines for integration with Cloudera Enterprise.

“Global enterprises have choices when it comes to their big data and AI initiatives, and heightened regulation in today’s business landscape makes these choices even more complex,” said Philippe Marinier, VP of Business Development and Alliances, Cloudera. “Immuta’s platform addresses the regulatory and data access challenges facing enterprises, and we’re pleased that Immuta has completed certification of its data management platform.”

Please join Immuta at the Strata Data Conference, taking place September 11-13, 2018 in New York where Andrew Burt, the company’s Chief Privacy Officer and Legal Engineer, will present, “Beyond Explainability: Regulating Machine Learning in Practice” on Wednesday, September 12 at 2:55 PM ET in room 1E 12/13.
