MONTEREY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On September 1st, 2018 Advanced Onion, Inc. (AO) welcomed their newest addition and first ever, Chief Operating Officer, Michael Douglass.
When AO transitioned from being predominately a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) to a Professional Services company in Fall of 2017 they knew the shift would hit them on every level including their most valuable assets, their team. By becoming a more service-focused Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), AO invested in their future by adding their first ever COO position, who will spearhead all new growth initiatives.
Mr. Douglass’ ethics, values and professional experiences are directly in-line with AO’s Owner and Chief Executive Officer, Paul Temple. In a recent comment, Mr. Douglass noted, “I see companies as a collection of people serving a mission… ultimately, it’s about the people and the leadership. AO is exciting to me because of its awesome blend of leading technology and national security programs with exceptional Level 5 leadership. That’s the kind of company that will do great things in our industry!”
AO has been in business since 2006 with an incredible track record for advancement, and their recent shift in focus has called for a fresh strategy. Mr. Douglass, a tech-savvy executive specializing in Federal Market Growth Strategy, Business Development and Capture, comes to AO with over 30 years of experience leading military and commercial organizations. When asked what his plans were for implementing new strategies he replied, “AO has grown well and proven itself extremely competitive in the GovCon marketspace. However, I see AO at a tipping point, where a few tweaks can drive dramatic growth. I’m convinced that with our people’s unique skills, corporate experience and solid leadership at all levels, we’re going to have a promising future.”
Mr. Douglass says that he plans to “…inspire a sense of purpose that’s seen as worthwhile for our employees. I think we can attract and retain talent by creating an environment where people are proud of what they do and look forward to their future at AO.”
This is exciting news for AO’s offices located in California and the Washington D.C. region, where the addition of new jobs will help boost local economies. Their new COO, Michael Douglass, will drive an already innovative team to greater focus, higher efficiency, profitability and most importantly an environment of trust for employees and clients alike.
