KATY, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer is headed to the Greater Houston area to debut his fifteenth illustrated children’s book in the popular series of biographies about heroes. Books-A-Million invites guests to join Brad Meltzer for a multimedia event featuring Meltzer’s highly anticipated book “I Am Neil Armstrong.” This event will take place on Thursday, September 13 at 7 p.m. at the Katy Mills store, located at 5000 Katy Mills Circle.
Set for release on September 11, Meltzer adds to his collection of heroes with an illustrated book about Neil Armstrong’s journey to the moon. The friendly, fun biography series focuses on the traits that make heroes great – the traits that kids can aspire to in order to live heroically themselves. Before Armstrong took those famous steps, he was a boy who loved airplanes. He learned how to fly, and when the space race began, he became a new kind of pilot: an astronaut. With bravery and patience, Armstrong and his team worked hard and, after many small steps, they took a giant leap together. They landed their lunar module on the moon.
