Pharmacy Times Continuing Education™ To Host Directions in Oncology Pharmacy® Meeting

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--Pharmacy Times Continuing Education™ (PTCE), a leader in continuing education for retail, health-system, managed care and specialty pharmacists, will host the Directions in Oncology Pharmacy® meeting on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan in New York City.

“With the rapid advancements in oncology, including novel treatment options, new mechanisms of action and evolving data on combination therapy, it is crucial for clinical specialists, infusion staff and health-system and specialty pharmacists to remain informed in order to optimize patient care,” said Jim Palatine, RPh, MBA, president of PTCE. “We are excited to present this conference and offer pharmacists on the cancer care team a platform to network and exchange ideas about the continusously evolving field of oncology pharmacy.”

Directions in Oncology Pharmacy® is a one-day interactive conference that will consist of six accredited continuing education sessions. This educational meeting is positioned to provide members of the oncology care team with practical education on topics that focus on treatment options for the care of patients with various solid tumors, such as pancreatic cancer, and managing immune-related adverse effects associated with immuno-oncology. Additionally, attendees will learn how to coordinate care through inpatient, ambulatory and community settings.
