Delta Dental of California Among Top 50 on San Francisco Business Times’ 2018 Bay Area Corporate Philanthropists List

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Delta Dental of California announced today that it has been ranked number 49 on the San Francisco Business Times’ 2018 Bay Area Corporate Philanthropists List.

The Corporate Philanthropy Awards and List celebrate the Bay Area’s most generous corporate citizens and recognizes those companies that also give their time, talent and resources. The annual list recognizes 100 top corporate philanthropists ranked by local cash giving. It includes for-profit companies and nonprofit health care organizations that made contributions to Bay Area based charitable organizations in the following counties: San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma.

Since 2011, Delta Dental of California, through the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation, has donated more than $5.5 million in the state of California. The Foundation’s giving is focused on increasing access to dental care, funding oral health education, and advancing scientific research.

"Delta Dental of California’s generosity helps to raise the bar on corporate philanthropy and inspires more giving,” said Mary Huss, Publisher of the San Francisco Business Times. “Their participation in this program helps challenge others to do more.”

“We’re honored to be recognized on this prestigious list of generous companies and organizations that share in our belief of giving back to the communities where we live and work,” said Karen Robinson, Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Delta Dental and Executive Director of the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation. “Our impact is only as strong as our partnerships, and we could not make a difference without the hard work and dedication of the organizations we sponsor.”
