High Road Craft Ice Cream Makes It onto the Inc. 5000 List for the 3rd Consecutive Year

Third Time’s a Charm!

ATLANTA--()--High Road Craft Ice Cream has officially made the 2018 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America - for the third year in a row.

High Road Craft Ice Cream ranks 1386 on this year’s list.

With continued growth in foodservice and retail manufacturing, High Road brought on new Chief Operating Officer, Adam Hayes, an environmental engineer/MBA with a love of entrepreneurship and all things delicious. Hayes brings two Masters Degrees to High Road. One in engineering, the other in business.

Hayes stated, “We have incorporated some more robust measurements in growing the company. I have engaged with the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Excellence Center to do a comprehensive audit of our resource utilization. As our company grows, it’s critical that we’re mindful and proactive relative to our impact on our environment.”

“With the Inc. 5000, most people talk about growth in monetary terms,” commented Keith Schroeder, CEO and Founder of High Road Craft Ice Cream. “I like to think of growth in terms of two things: the character of the organization and the capabilities of the organization. If you have strong character on your team, then your capabilities can emerge. We can then choose to develop new and innovative products as habit. We started as a group of chefs and designers. Now, we’re a very comprehensively skilled business team. We’re excited about competing with big CPG over the next couple of years.”

Key highlights from 2018 include:

  • For the third consecutive year, being named in the Inc. 5000 (#1386); fastest-growing super premium ice cream company on the list.
  • Expansion of the company’s novelty ice cream sandwich lineup to include seven flavors and increase High Road’s novelty shelf presence.
  • Release of our private-label Sam’s Club’s Super Premium Tanzanian Vanilla, encouraging more direct sourcing by the company’s product development team.
  • Introduction of High Road’s products into several grocery chains, such as Wegmans and Shoprite.
  • Prioritization of more sustainable, environmentally friendly manufacturing practices.

Continued innovation and growth in the novelty category are on the horizon for High Road Craft Ice Cream in 2019. Co-founder and Chief Branding Officer, Nicki Schroeder, said “We are definitely seeing holes in the category, and we have the creative culinary team here to come up with the new innovations that we know will bridge the gaps.”
