HOUSTON--()--Witness the arrival of Port Houston's newest Super Post-Panamax cranes as they complete their 90-day journey from Shanghai, China arriving to Port Houston’s Bayport Container Terminal as their final destination. These three Super Post-Panamax Ship-to-Shore cranes standing more than 25 stories tall will arrive to the terminal with booms fully raised onboard a vessel providing a majestic visual.

BACKGROUND:

Port Houston handles nearly 70 percent of container cargo transported through the Gulf. Containerized cargo includes shipments of everyday items used by retail customers including clothes, electronics, household goods and furniture. Increasingly larger container ships calling Port Houston require faster and larger cranes for more efficient containerized cargo handling to help get goods to retail stores and distribution centers sooner.

We are providing access to the terminal wharf. Please be advised that this is an active working terminal; safety and security directions must be followed. Rubber-soled shoes are recommended.
