Panoskin Announces More Than 1 Million Scenes Published to Google Street View

Global Growth Allows Platform to Reach Milestone in Less Than a Year

CHICAGO--()--Less than a year after its launch, virtual tour platform Panoskin announced today that its users have already published more than 1 million scenes to Google Street View. In celebration of this milestone, the company published a webpage highlighting featured tours created by Panoskin users, including tours of the Kremlin, the Indy 500 Speedway and Jang Bogo Station in Antarctica.

“We’re delighted to see the platform being embraced by both photographers and businesses,” said Wojciech Kalembasa, CEO of Panoskin. “While the technology is responsible for modernizing virtual tours into a sophisticated and enticing experience, it’s only because of talent around the world that we are able to publish such amazing content. Hitting 1 million scenes in less than a year demonstrates that creators find the platform an easy, effective way to share material and promote their businesses.”

Panoskin is a “Street View Workflow Ready” solution that allows photographers to create customizable and interactive virtual tours that publish directly on Google Maps. In addition, tours can be shared seamlessly on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as on corporate or personal websites. Users track real-time analytics data on views, visits and conversions through Panoskin’s custom dashboard to gauge ROI and inform marketing and outreach strategies.

Initially released with an 8-month beta period before being made publicly available in December 2017, Panoskin is now used by nearly 7,000 professional photographers, in more than 100 countries.

Virtual Reality is forecasted to reach over $100 billion by 2020. Some of the biggest challenges AR/VR markets face are expensive equipment and difficult workflows for content creators. Panoskin aims to lower this barrier by simplifying workflow and making VR and 360 tour creation available to everyone. Anyone with a DSLR or one-shot 360 camera can use Panoskin to build virtual tours for any business. With several new strategic partnerships to be announced before the end of the year and Panoskin continuing to expand at a rapid pace, the company leadership has recently begun exploring capital raising opportunities.
