LEXINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Unified Trust Company, a national bank trust company and fiduciary that serves individual, institutional and retirement plan investors with a mix of digital and traditional advice, is gearing up for its seventh annual Community Day in Lexington, Ky., where the firm is headquartered.
On Friday, August 17, over 70 Unified Trust employees will head out to locations throughout Lexington and surrounding counties to support five nonprofit organizations, including Military Missions, Dress for Success, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House and FoodChain.
“Giving back to the community and our partners is central to our philosophy. We strive to give our clients peace of mind in whatever goal they are trying to achieve, be it funding retirement or a child’s college education or helping with charitable giving or estate planning. The ‘giving’ part of our job is the most rewarding, and it’s exciting to extend that perspective to our larger community, as well,” said Managing Director of Wealth Management, Kevin Avent.
Giving back has been ingrained in Unified Trust’s culture since it was founded. Community Day was launched in 2012 and continues to be a special event for the company and community, alike. The firm has contributed time and talent to over 20 area charitable organizations during its history.
“In my 13 years working at Unified Trust, it is without a doubt my favorite day of the year to come to work. Knowing that the service we provide across the firm will mean fewer families go hungry, or that a child’s health will improve, or that a soldier will feel the warmth of a care package from home is incredibly rewarding. All of us at Unified Trust are fortunate to work for a company that encourages this spirit,” said Avent.
