The meeting will share updates on advances in the treatment of breast cancer

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), the leading resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education (CME), will host the 17th Annual International Congress on the Future of Breast Cancer® West on July 13-14 at The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter in California.

The program will be co-chaired by Sara Hurvitz, M.D., director, breast cancer clinical research program, co-director, Santa Monica – University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) outpatient hematology/ oncology practice, associate professor of medicine, division of hematology/ oncology, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Joyce O’Shaughnessy, M.D., Celebrating Women Chair in Breast Cancer Research, Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center, Texas Oncology and co-chair, breast cancer research program, The U.S. Oncology Network.

Designed for medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, the 17th Annual International Congress on the Future of Breast Cancer®® presents the latest treatment advances for breast cancer. The meeting will discuss the appropriate use and interpretation of biomarker results and molecular or genomic assays in individualized treatment. Attendees will have an opportunity to engage with international leaders in breast cancer treatment. This year’s conference will also discuss the use of immunotherapy for patients with advanced breast cancer and will delve into neoadjuvant endocrine therapy.
