WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Earlier this year, President and CEO, Maria Melfa announced to TTA employees that she implemented five ‘Fun Days’ per calendar year. Maria implemented these to help further enhance the positive cultural environment that already exists at TTA. This is in addition to the vacation time that TTA employees enjoy, and further enhances the company’s benefits package.
The way that Fun Days work is that each employee is given five Fun Days at the beginning of each year. Fun Days do not need to be scheduled ahead of time. This allows employees to take days to have fun with family, friends, or take a little time to themselves.
Maria Melfa was inspired to come up with this concept so that employees can take the day off without feeling guilty. We all have that pressure and stress of balancing personal and professional lives, and our CEO wanted for people to simply have a day for fun, making it a day when they could be spontaneous, and enjoy themselves.
The implementation of Fun Days has allowed TTA employees to participate in things like going to the beach, attending events, spending time with their kids on school vacation, and enjoying the beautiful weather.
