NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The New York Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI NY) announced Chapter Board Member Deb Wasser, IRC, was honored by NIRI National as the NIRI Volunteer of the Year Award during the 2018 NIRI Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
The NIRI National Volunteer of the Year Award honors a NIRI member who best exemplifies the NIRI mission of “advancing the practice of investor relations and professional competency and the stature of NIRI members” at the national level.
Deb Wasser, NIRI New York board member since 2015, and Vice President, Investor Relations at Etsy, Inc., has provided exemplary leadership during her tenure on the NIRI New York Chapter Board, serving as Membership Chair and developing the innovative NIRI NextGen program, which fosters increased participation and mentoring programs for new investor relations professionals. At the NIRI National level, she is an inaugural member of Investor Relations Charter (IRC) and currently on the Senior Roundtable (SRT) Steering Committee. She has served as a speaker at both national and chapter events served on the 2016 and 2017 Annual Conference Committees. Additionally, she has authored several articles for NIRI’s magazine, IR Update, as well as providing an open door for many seasoned and novice investor relations professionals seeking insight and expertise.
