Nebraska Residents can Celebrate Great Outdoors Month® by Enjoying Nebraskan Parks

LINCOLN, Neb.--()--June is Great Outdoors Month and Nebraska’s Game and Parks website is the perfect place to plan for your outdoor adventures. Great Outdoors Month encourages everyone to get out, connect with, and enjoy America’s great outdoors.

Visit the website and look for places to go and things to do before heading out. Conservation, education, hunting, fishing, guides and interactive maps are topics to explore on the website.

For national vacations visitors can also use YourPassNow to purchase digital passes for some national parks and federal lands to avoid the wait upon arrival. YourPassNow makes it easy and convenient for visitors to purchase entrance passes and land access permits to public lands when online using a PC, tablet or phone. Developed in cooperation with the National Park Service, YourPassNow streamlines a paper-based purchase process that was previously only available at physical park locations or approved resellers.

The Great Outdoors Month website also provides a list of events and activities held throughout the country that offers multiple ways for citizens to be involved in Great Outdoors Month 2018.

“The Great Outdoors Month website is another terrific resource for our citizens to be in the know about all things outdoors,” said Brent Hoffman, General Manager of Nebraska Interactive. “Whether you want to camp, fish, or just spend the day out in the sun, the website is a great resource to start your planning.”

NIC and Nebraska Interactive are happy to partner with Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) in bringing Great Outdoors Month to life in Nebraska. ORR’s mission is to enhance citizens’ outdoor recreation experience by advocating for solutions that will responsibly improve America’s public lands, waters and infrastructure while conserving them for future generations.
