Technical Financial Solutions Selects SecurityIQ by InfoSec Institute to Help Clients Fulfill HIPAA Training Mandate

Phishing simulation and security awareness platform safeguards TFS customers’ PHI

MADISON, Wis.--()--InfoSec Institute, the leading provider of IT security education and workforce security awareness training solutions, today announced Technical Financial Solutions (TFS) selected SecurityIQ as the cornerstone to their phishing simulation services – helping clients stay HIPAA compliant and better identify and correct risky employee cyber behaviors.

HIPAA, or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, includes several data security mandates. Working closely with healthcare clients, TFS ensures they comply with all 54 HIPAA Security Rule standards, including the requirement for workforce security awareness training. To power the phishing simulation and awareness training services available in their IT auditing portfolio, TFS turned to InfoSec Institute’s SecurityIQ and its unmatched library of healthcare-specific mock phishing emails and education modules.

“The reason we chose SecurityIQ when we needed a partner to provide awareness training and phishing simulations, is two-fold: SecurityIQ offers training relevant to our healthcare clients, and the platform is supported with 20 years of security training experience,” said Tony Scott, CEO and Certified Information Systems Auditor at TFS. “It was an easy decision.”

SecurityIQ’s security awareness curriculum for healthcare includes more than 30 interactive role-based training modules, personalized to educate the entire health team from clinicians and staff to managers and executives. The result is stronger TFS client resilience to social engineering attacks. Browse SecurityIQ’s complete Healthcare Module Library.

TFS also uses SecurityIQ’s sophisticated campaign and learner reports in their audits to demonstrate and document clients taking the appropriate steps to educate their teams on security threats. Plus, built-in learner assessments make it easy to prove staff are both completing and retaining the training. In the coming months, TFS has plans to more than double the enrolled learners in their phishing simulation service.

“With stolen health records worth thousands of dollars on the black market, healthcare is a prime target for cybercriminals,” said Jack Koziol, CEO and Founder at InfoSec Institute. “We take great pride and responsibility in protecting health organizations and their employees from social engineering attacks intended to compromise confidential patient data. We’re pleased to partner with TFS as they arm clients with the knowledge and determination to safeguard their protected health information.”
