MOBILE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CPSI (NASDAQ:CPSI), a community healthcare solutions company, and Alliance Health Partners, a hospital management and consulting company, today announced a partnership that is aimed at helping small hospitals flourish in the communities they serve. This unique partnership will take a comprehensive approach to improving productivity and efficiency at all levels and includes the implementation of a leading community electronic health record (EHR) system.
Texas-based Alliance Health Partners assists community healthcare organizations transform into well-run institutions, which works in tandem with CPSI’s mission of helping small community hospitals provide access to quality healthcare in their community.
The new partnership between CPSI and Alliance Health Partners includes the Thrive EHR system from Evident and the TruBridge revenue cycle management (RCM) solution, including RCM software coupled with billing and coding services that improve cash flow for community hospitals. Healthcare facilities that take advantage of these joint offerings also have the option of financing the purchase of the Thrive EHR with a percentage of collections, therefore minimizing the disruption to the organization while sharing the financial risk.
Frank Avignone, chief executive officer of Alliance Health Partners, said, “When my company walks into a Critical Access Hospital, it is typically in financial distress and the quality of care is suffering. There are no insights into the most basic of performance metrics. We wanted a partner for our core technology solutions, and CPSI was the obvious choice. We work with hospitals that are vital to the survival of their communities and require not only an EHR that is proven in community hospitals throughout the U.S., but one that comes with a completely integrated, turn-key revenue cycle solution.
“The Evident Thrive system, combined with the TruBridge RCM solution, has allowed us to reduce the time needed to reach financial stability from up to a year down to just months. More importantly, CPSI brings services and support that are the best in the industry. I have been in healthcare information technology for 35 years, and I have never experienced the type of partnership that we have with CPSI. They are absolutely the best company to work with.”
Mangum Regional Medical Center in Mangum, Oklahoma, is the most recent community hospital to bring Alliance Health Partners onboard to manage their facility operations and benefit from this newly announced partnership. In addition to Mangum Regional Medical Center, CPSI and Alliance Health Partners anticipate many more community hospitals taking advantage of this partnership due to the flexibility and choice it offers these facilities for both EHR and RCM solution adoption.
“This partnership with Alliance Health Partners offers small community hospitals a compelling alternative to acquisition by a large regional health system,” said Boyd Douglas, president and chief executive officer of CPSI. “We have seen many community healthcare leaders regret the decision to be acquired after losing control of their operations and their ability to address the local healthcare needs, as well as seeing the erosion of economic support that a hospital brings to a small community.
“We’re very proud to be collaborating with Alliance Health Partners and believe that this unique offering will bring real value to many communities and their healthcare organizations.”
