KENNEBUNK, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Foundation4Love will host their 3rd annual charitable gala at the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport on June 1, 2018. All proceeds from the event will support the non-profit, whose mission is to give cancer patients the opportunity to disconnect from their illness and reconnect with their loved ones through different excursions and experiences. Founded by sisters Sarah Kelly, a stage 3 breast cancer survivor, and Leah Robert, an oncology nurse, Foundation4Love was born out of the sisters’ desire to reciprocate the generosity Sarah experienced during her cancer treatment. Thus far, the organization has provided recipients and their families with spa days, outings at Fenway Park, weekend getaways, and meals prepared by a private chef. Sarah and Leah are also founders of a natural cosmetic company, SaltyGirl Beauty, which offers women a nourishing beauty product line using certified organic and natural ingredients. Ten percent of all profits from SaltyGirl Beauty are given back to help support Foundation4Love.
This year’s annual gala will take place at the Colony Hotel and includes dinner, raffles, a silent auction and a keynote speech by Julie Kelly, cancer survivor and co-founder of Haymakers for Hope. Through Haymakers for Hope, which trains men and women to compete in charity boxing events, Julie Kelly has raised approximately 9 million dollars for cancer research.
