Hero K12 is finalist in category for best social-emotional development products

MIAMI LAKES, Fla.--()--Hero K12 is a finalist in the 2018 SIIA CODiE Awards, which is one of the education industry’s most coveted awards programs. Hero was picked by judges as a finalist in the category for Best Social-Emotional Development Solution in K-12 education. Hero is a tool to emphasize and reward positive behaviors in schools, which has dramatic positive effects on school culture and helps create a more positive learning environment. By focusing on the good things students do, schools find that negative behaviors begin to fall away, sometimes to a very significant degree. “Hero makes it much easier for schools to manage tardiness and behavior issues and see dramatic reduction in number of negative incidents,” said Jinal Jhaveri, CEO of Hero K12. “What is most rewarding, and a key point the judges picked up, is that Hero is a turn-around tool. Hero helps school leaders focus on the positives and reward students for being on-time, on-task, and generally better behaved students.”

“Wow! What a useful and thorough tool for schools, students, parents, and teachers!” said one judge who evaluated Hero. “This is an amazing product, and I think it can really help schools get a good picture of how their student behaviors are occurring and what steps to take.”

A second judge wrote, “[Hero] relieves administrators and teachers of bureaucratic paperwork by streamlining attendance, tardy, and behavior issues via a computerized positive behavior program.”

The SIIA CODiE Awards have been recognizing product excellence for over 30 years. It is judged by educators and administrators who select finalists and then winners are selected from a combination of judges’ reviews and member voting. Hero was one of 152 finalists in 39 ed tech categories.
