Sage Communications Wins Multiple Gold and Platinum Hermes Creative Awards for Nonprofit and Government Clients

The Hermes Creative Awards recognize excellence in marketing communications for print media, public relations and electronic media from around the world.

MCLEAN, Va.--()--Sage Communications (Sage) announced the agency has been awarded three Hermes Creative Awards for integrated marketing, interactive media, and outstanding branding. Among submissions from across the globe, the Hermes awards honored Sage's work, highlighting the agency's ability to create powerful integrated marketing campaigns.

"Sage’s integrated approach is unique in our industry. Our cross disciplinary teams—from public relations and social media to advertising and creative services—prides themselves on taking an integrated approach in each and every campaign," said David Gorodetski, co-founder, COO and executive creative director at Sage. "Each of our clients are doing work that makes a huge impact in their respective industries, and they trust Sage to help them in their mission. As much as I appreciate these awards because they recognize our efforts and successful methodology they mean very little to our clients. Our clients expect results and we are committed to exceed their expectations by delivering value that matters to them."

Sage was awarded Platinum recognition for an integrated marketing campaign for Halcyon—the highest designation given for a Hermes award. The agency created the two-tiered "I am Halcyon" campaign using digital art, a microsite and a hybrid social media campaign to drive donations and increase awareness for the organization.

The integrated campaign tapped major local, national and international influencers to give away unique experiences in an online contest and shared each of their personal stories online and on social media.

Sage was also given Gold recognition for the National Cherry Blossom Festival's "FestivALE" beer can design and Overseas Private Investment Corporation's (OPIC) “Stories” microsite.

Referred to as "…an ultra-Instagrammable pink tallboy can" by The Washington Post, Sage worked in tandem with Old Ox Brewery to develop "FestivALE"—the first beer brewed and designed specifically for the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The design pays homage to the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan and connected the Festival with beer lovers in Washington, D.C.

By creating an engaging microsite driven by visuals and written content, Sage was able to highlight the success of OPIC's economic investments across three developing regions of the world.
