COLLEGE PARK, Md.--()--Immuta today announced details of its presentations at Accelerate AI and Open Data Science Conference (ODSC) East 2018 in Boston, MA. Immuta Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Steve Touw, will examine the intersection of privacy and data science, and present a framework for managing risk in machine learning at ODSC East on May 4. Andrew Gilman, Chief Customer Officer at Immuta, will participate in a cross-industry panel exploring the impact of AI on the enterprise at Accelerate AI on May 2.

Who: Steve Touw, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Immuta

What: Presentation on “Privacy + Machine Learning = Peanut Butter + Jelly?” at ODSC East

The rapid evolution of machine learning and AI is forcing us to redefine privacy. We need to shift our focus to the intersection of privacy in machine learning, examining several incompatibilities that are core to some of the biggest challenges in data science today. In this session, Touw will present framework for managing enterprise risk in machine learning and data science, while meeting regulatory and compliance guidelines like GDPR. He will share technical and procedural approaches for how organizations can increase transparency around algorithmic design and application to reduce risk.

Who: Andrew Gilman, Chief Customer Officer, Immuta

What: Cross-Industry Panel on "The Impact of AI Across the Enterprise" at Accelerate AI East

Today’s economy is increasingly driven by data. As organizations become more reliant on algorithms to make decisions, it is imperative that we know how that data is being used. Gilman will join panelists from SAP Ariba and F-Prime Capital to explore how AI and machine learning is reshaping the enterprise – and how our ability to control this “black box” technology will impact how this technology is used in the future. Michael Hayes from MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) will moderate.

ODSC East – Friday, May 4 at 2:00 PM EDT in Room T5
