Branded Entertainment Network (BEN) Announces Record Revenue for the First Quarter of 2018

BEN’s Record Success Bolstered by New Client Wins and Deal Extensions, and Will Expand Client Development Team

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif.--()--Branded Entertainment Network (BEN), which connects global brands to consumers through the power of popular entertainment, today announced record revenue for the first quarter of 2018 making it the strongest quarter in the company’s history. With 1,500 brand integrations delivered in the first quarter alone, the company is on track to deliver more than 6,000 integrations in 2018 representing a total media value of over $1.2 billion – a 20 percent increase over 2017.

BEN’s record success was bolstered by adding Cheerios (General Mills), Greyhound, Suave (Unilever), Pizza Hut, Secret (P&G), and WowWee as new clients. The company also signed extension deals with Armitron, Go RV, Prego, and The League. Greenlight, BEN’s rights clearance and product licensing division, also had one of the most successful quarters in its history with renewed rights representation agreements for Steve McQueen and Thomas Edison. In addition, Greenlight reached an agreement to represent the advertising rights of American Greetings Entertainments’ Care Bears™ and signed a renewal deal with Tag Heuer.

To drive further growth in the quarters ahead, the company has expanded its team with the appointment of Shini Reddy Wark as vice president of client development. Wark will be responsible for developing new business for West Coast-based brands in addition to working with BEN’s existing West Coast-based clients. She will apply her more than 10 years of experience in digital advertising sales and marketing to drive brand integration campaigns into premium content across TV, streaming, film and influencer programming.

“The entertainment marketing landscape today has evolved at such a rapid rate, and brands must focus on creative content solutions to build authentic relationships with consumers,” said Wark. “BEN is at the forefront of this industry shift and is shaping the future of modern marketing. I’m excited to contribute to the team’s continued traction, and I look forward to helping today’s most prolific brands navigate this space.”

Prior to joining BEN, Wark served as senior director of client strategy at Twitch and vice president of West Coast sales at GameStop. She is based in Los Angeles and will report to Kristin Glushon, executive vice president of client development. Wark currently belongs to the ThinkLA Membership Committee.

“BEN has experienced an incredible transformation over the years, and I am proud of my team in helping to drive this incredible success,” said Ricky Ray Butler, CEO of BEN. “Now more than ever, brands need creative tactics to not only engage consumers but to truly stay ahead of the curve. With Shini now part of the team, I am confident our client development team will continue to establish fruitful relationships with new brands as we look to help companies enter the next frontier of advertising.”
