TokBox Launches New Pricing Plans and Data Visualization Tool

‘Insights’ displays usage, quality and error data

SAN FRANCISCO--()--TokBox, the live video, real-time communications (RTC) company, today unveiled several new pricing plans that will better support the company’s diverse customer base. The company also introduced Insights, a new way for OpenTok developers to access their project data.

The new plans are designed to enable development teams of all sizes to easily incorporate live video and access only the features they need, and include:

  • Standard Plan: Ideal for individual developers and small teams, it includes access to core features, developer documentation, tools and sample apps. The Standard Plan also includes basic support and security essentials to ensure apps are compliant with industry regulations. Users can also access usage data on their new Account Dashboard (previously Account Portal).
  • Growth Plan: Ideal for scaling teams, it provides access to most features on the OpenTok platform, including all capabilities available in the Standard Plan plus access to additional features such as Advanced Insights, Encrypted Archiving and Regional Media Zones. The Growth Plan also provides enhanced customer services, including Mission Critical Support, which provides onboarding, 24x7 escalation service and priority two-hour support.
  • Enterprise Plan: Optimal for companies needing a rich set of features, security enhancements and customer success services to scale with live video. The Enterprise Plan provides the most advanced security, including the ability to build HIPAA-compliant applications and BAA availability, AES-256 encryption, and IP whitelisting at no additional charge. Clients also have access to a dedicated customer success manager, technical health assessments and product roadmap reviews.

In addition, customers of the Standard and Growth Plans have the flexibility to add features a la carte to their plans at an additional charge.

“With live video becoming increasingly important across so many industries and use cases, we understand the need to offer our development tools at several price points,” said TokBox CEO Scott Lomond. “The new plans will help make the OpenTok platform more widely available and help give our existing customers a broader range of feature options.”

Insights

With the addition of Insights to the Account Dashboard, users now see a data visualization dashboard displaying usage, quality and error data for OpenTok projects, powered by TokBox’s new Advanced Insights feature.

Additionally, users can take their analysis further with the Insights API (currently in Beta) that is also part of Advanced Insights, and pull data into the internal dashboards or analytics tools they already use to monitor their service.

“We’re always looking for ways to improve the platform and increase flexibility for users,” added Lomond. “Insights gives users more transparency and an easier way to keep tabs on their projects.”

In support of the new pricing options, TokBox has updated the Account Dashboard so users can enable new add-on features, view and upgrade to other plans, as well as manage billing metrics, keep track of invoices and manage account users.

According to the results of the inaugural TokBox Live Video Maturity Study, 53 percent of those surveyed have either used or are likely to use live video to speak with customer service representatives from major brands. Some of the more popular use cases include pre-sales support, contact center inquiries, identity verifications and post-sales support.
