WOBURN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kaspersky Lab today announces that three of its experts in cybersecurity research, business development and corporate communications will be speaking at RSA Conference 2018, being held Monday, April 16 through Friday, April 20 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. Leaking
ads – is user data truly secure?
April 17, 2018, from
2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. PST
Moscone South Room 208
This
session presented by Roman Unuchek, senior malware analyst at Kaspersky
Lab, will cover how most developers currently use HTTPS to protect user
data, but it doesn’t ensure that their apps are secure. Roman will
elaborate on Kaspersky Lab research that found that several popular
advertising software development kits (SDK’s) are transmitting user data
unencrypted by HTTP, which often fails to protect such data. He will
also show examples of how well-known apps can contain third-party code
with security issues and educate attendees on how to ensure data safety
moving forward.
Behind
the scenes of an advanced cyber incident: APT corporate communications
case study
April 18, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. PST
Moscone
West Room 2022
During his talk, Povel Torudd, global head of
corporate communications, CSO department, at Kaspersky Lab will educate
attendees for the first time on Kaspersky Lab’s corporate communications
lessons learned from the highly sophisticated APT found inside the
company’s network in 2015, Duqu2. The incident, and the lead up to
announcing it publicly, presented the corporate communications team with
a completely new challenge and set a new standard in how the company
communicates securely.
Securing
the future of mobility: Is your connected car unhackable?
April
18, 2018, from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. PST
The Marriott in The
Sandbox – CHV Stage
In this discussion, Sergey Kravchenko,
senior business development manager, future technologies, at Kaspersky
Lab will focus on how modern cars are not just electromechanical
vehicles anymore and how they bring new challenges to the world of
security. Cars are becoming more and more connected, and at the same
time, new technologies like remote diagnostics, telematics and
infotainment are creating new risks for the industry. Sergey will
explain these risks, clarify how they can be addressed and help
attendees understand how cybersecurity expertise can improve car safety.
