FDNY Foundation Issues Statement In Response to False Claims From PETA

NEW YORK--()--The FDNY Foundation issued the following statement in response to inaccurate claims made today by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA):

“The statement released by PETA earlier today is a false narrative, filled with misinformation that we feel compelled to publically correct. To be clear, we are incredibly proud of our partnership with Canada Goose and our limited-edition collaboration jacket, The Bravest Coat. While our jacket does not feature fur or down, we are confident in Canada Goose’s transparency about how they make their products, including the ethical sourcing and responsible use of animal products. We are proud to collaborate with a company who shares so many of our own values and we would be thrilled to collaborate with them again. We look forward to the launch of The Bravest Coat, of which 100% of the proceeds benefit the FDNY Foundation and will go towards much needed support for fire safety, training and education as well as smoke and CO2 alarms,” said Steve Ruzow, Chairman FDNY Foundation.
