PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) has named Lin Meng second vice president and associate actuary.
Meng joins The Standard with more than 13 years of actuarial experience. Most recently, Meng was at Liberty Mutual Insurance where she was responsible for reporting and experience monitoring for its individual life and annuity business. Prior to that, Meng held leadership positions at Sun Life Financial in a variety of areas including risk management, international profitability management and in-force business management.
In her new role, Meng will be responsible for actuarial oversight of pricing and financial reporting as well as Enterprise Risk Management. In addition, she will provide leadership for financial reporting, financial performance measures and financial reviews.

Meng earned a Master of Arts degree in educational psychology and a Master of Science degree in actuarial science at the University at Connecticut. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
