NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cumberland Consulting Group expands its Payer Division’s leadership team with the promotion of Tom Howard to partner. Previously, Howard served as principal for the company.
Howard has nearly two decades of experience leading payer and provider organizations through a variety of complex technology projects and providing strategic counsel for clients on issues ranging from data integration and Health Information Exchange (HIE) to population health management and IT system selection and implementation.

Since joining Cumberland in 2010, Howard has helped payer and provider clients with strategic initiatives, including HIE data integration, patient portal implementation and care management. Prior to joining Cumberland, Howard was a manager at Accenture, where he helped architect a successful nationwide health information network prototype. In addition, he has experience serving healthcare clients through roles at Capgemini and EY.

Howard holds a ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance, the Agile community’s largest and most established professional membership and certification organization, as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, the leading professional membership association for the project management profession. A graduate of Syracuse University, Howard earned his Bachelor of Science degree in information management and technology.
