This year’s keynote presentation will take place on March 10 at 11:30 a.m. at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Florida, announced Phil Talamo, president of PER®.

Patti Hennessy, wife of Mike Hennessy, CEO of MJH Associates, parent company of PER® and the Miami Breast Cancer Conference®, will share her journey on battling cancer during her keynote session, “My Personal Cancer Journey with the BRCA1 Gene”. She will be accompanied by her team of clinicians during the keynote address.
After receiving a diagnosis of ovarian cancer in 2011, Patti learned that she carried the BRCA1 gene, which came as a surprise to her. This also came as an immense threat to her family’s health. She later learned that she was also in the early stages of breast cancer and within six months after receiving therapy, Patti’s cancer was back in her lung. This time, Patti was diagnosed with rare metastatic, metaplastic, triple-negative breast cancer.
