California Homebuilding Foundation Announces 2018 ‘Hall of Fame’ Inductees

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--()--The California Homebuilding Foundation (CHF) will induct five exemplary professionals into its prestigious homebuilding Hall of Fame on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Westin St. Francis on Union Square in San Francisco.

The CHF Hall of Fame gala celebrates and recognizes individuals who have left an indelible mark on the homebuilding industry through their innovation, leadership and philanthropic contributions with an annual black-tie (optional) dinner and formal induction ceremony.

Please join the Foundation in congratulating the 34th class of Hall of Fame inductees: David P. Carlson (Carlson, Barbee & Gibson, Inc.), F. Scott Jackson (Jackson Tidus), Larry D. David P. Carlson: Principle of Carlson, Barbee & Gibson, Inc. in San Ramon, CA. With a background in Civil Engineering, Dave Carlson founded Carlson, Barbee and Gibson, Inc. (CBG) in 1989 with his colleagues, Mike Barbee and Grant Gibson. CBG provides engineering, surveying and land planning services to builders and municipalities and is one of the top civil engineering firms in Northern California. Carlson previously held positions at the City of Fairfield and Stedman Engineering over the course of his 36-year career. F. Scott Jackson: Shareholder and Director of Jackson Tidus in Irvine, CA. F. Scott Jackson has been a practicing attorney for over 45 years. He co-founded the Jackson Tidus law firm, specializing in real estate law, and currently chairs the Subdivisions Services Group, creating over 3,000 residential, mixed-use and commercial structures. Jackson has taught several seminars, authored and co-authored numerous books and has edited chapters for the California State Bar. In addition to his contributions to Habitat for Humanity and the HOME(FUL) Foundation, Jackson has been a devoted member of the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) and the BIA of Orange County for over four decades. Larry D. Kelley: Managing Member of LDK Ventures, Downtown Railyard Venture, Stanford Ranch and President and Managing Member of McClellan Business Park in Sacramento, CA. Larry Kelley is a well-known developer and real estate professional with over 45 years of experience. Kelley began developing properties on the East Coast for 20 years, later founding LDK Ventures to construct some of the most iconic projects in the Sacramento Region, including Stanford Ranch, The Railyards, and McClellan Park. Michael P. Neal: President and CEO of H.G. Fenton Company in San Diego, CA. Mike Neal has served as CEO of H.G. Fenton Company for 16 years. He was hired by the 111-year-old, San Diego real estate company after graduating college in 1988, and by 2000, was named President and COO. Under Mike’s leadership, H.G. Fenton owns and manages 16 apartment communities and supports over 1,250 local businesses with over 4.5 million square feet of commercial property. A former Board President of the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) and member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Mike has been involved with his local BIA since 1994. Anthony F. Souza: President of Souza Realty & Development, Inc. in Tracy, CA. Born and raised in Tracy, California, Anthony (Tony) Souza earned his broker's license and opened Souza Realty in 1984, later named Souza Realty & Development (SRD) in 1991. SRD is responsible for many development projects throughout California’s Delta region, including Tracy Hills. As SRD’s leader, Tony has entitled more than 15,000 residential lots, lent his expertise in conservation and mitigation easement and has helped revitalize Tracy’s residential and commercial infrastructure.
